‘Ello! I’m Taran Lopez, and I’m a graphic designer by day, an illustrator by night, and a slave to creative whims all the time.
As a Senior Graphic Designer at a digital consumer products company, my work includes layout design, flash animations, and static illustrations – from ecards, screensavers, digital games, logos, landing pages and ads.
But with a degree in Illustration and Animation from Parsons School of Design, my training and my true creative love is in cartoon and comic illustration.
I’ve created original illustrations for children’s books and for magazines, I’ve designed a serial webcomic, and I’ve drawn commissioned character portraiture. I’m also proficient in watercolor painting and warping reality with Photoshop.
