Project: Scapegoat

Created by Sinking Ship Creations, Scapegoat was a NY based immersive LARP taking place in a futuristic cyberpunk/cybernoir alternate reality, that I had the pleasure to help design the look of.

Logo Design:
The logo design was largely inspired by cyberpunk/cybernoir culture (Blade Runner, Dark City, ect.).
The point is to give a sleek yet gritty/industrial feel. The standout of the logo is the treatment of the ā€œeā€, perfectly centered and turned into a goat head, which has come to be the standalone logo for the game.

Character Cards:
Trading card design was heavily influence by my love of comics and comic trading cards back in the 90s, with a good splash of cyberpunk/cybernoir pop culture (Blade Runner, Dark City, ect.). Players were encouraged to send in a high resolution costumed photo of their character which was then placed into the awaiting card template. Continuing with the sleek yet gritty/industrial feel, I used a splash of bright color to differentiate the character types available.

Character Sheet:
Character Sheets were kept simple and were intended to look as if they came out of a police dossier kept on the criminal activity of the players. Players were sent an editable, semi-filled PDF file where they were able to learn some of their own character background and connections, and update the different sections as they interacted with more of the players.

Marketting Art:
Throughout several months leading into the game, creators shared the ads below on various social media sites to drum up more players and excitement for the upcoming experience, as well as giving a very clear idea of the look and feel the game setting would entail.

Game Sourcebook:
As a completely original game, creator Ryan Hart wanted to give players a truly immersive experience. This entailed crafting a whole world and backstory with particular rules and relationships that would need to be explained to potential players. He ended up writing a 40pg Participation Guide which I took and designed around, creating the overall look which would come to birth all future marketing and advertisement.
